エンジン自動車の新車販売禁止を目指していたEU(ヨーロッパ連合)は、エンジン車の販売を条件付きで2035年以降も認めることでドイツと合意した。
ドイツ政府は25日、二酸化炭素の排出が実質ゼロの合成燃料だけを使うエンジン自動車に限り、2035年以降も新車販売が可能になることを明らかにした。
EUのティメルマンス上級副委員長もツイッターで「自動車における合成燃料の将来の使用についてドイツと合意を見いだした」と表明した。

We will work now on getting the CO2-standards for cars regulation adopted as soon as possible, and the Commission will follow-up swiftly with the necessary legal steps to implement recital 11.
